About Me

I am a 3rd year Computer Science student studying in University College Dublin. I am currently in the STAR Student Internship Program which is offered by SAP. This internship program has been ranked as the best internship program of 2019.

My interest in technology began early through video-games. My first steps into coding involved learning HTML & CSS through YouTube videos. I later learned C and Java through college. I am now familiar with Java, C, Python, and Javascript. I am always keen to learn new languages and adapt to new technologies.

I completed my primary education entirely through Irish, and have a great love for the language. For my secondary education I attended the Patrician Secondary School in Newbridge, Co. Kildare. I achieved 509 points in my Leaving Certificate.

I now attend University College Dublin where I am working to earn a BSc. in Computer Science. Through this course I have developed a better knowledge of object-orientated programming, databases, mathematics, data structures and algorithms.

Before I began working in the technical sector, I had a wide variety of previous job experience. This included construction work, administraton work, retail work and freelance web design and digital marketing. Since I began working in the tech industry I have strengthened by understanding of teamwork, version control and agile methods.

I have worked on a wide variety of projects. You can find a some of the things I've worked on here. I intend to update this list of projects regularly. If you have any questions or would like to get in contact with me, feel free to email me at hello@developerdylan.com or head over to the contact page.
